Week Three College Football Picks

I have been staring at the Sportsbook for 30 minutes trying to find a good pick for the biggest game of the week, LSU at Ole Miss, but I just can’t do it. I hate the spread, I hate the total, and not a single prop jumps out at me. So for me, Saturday night is going to be an old-fashioned ball-watching session for me. I’m not putting any money on LSU or Ole Miss, I am just going to sit down on the couch with a big bucket of popcorn and enjoy a hate-filled top ten matchup, and I encourage you all to do the same. But that’s just Saturday night. I’ve got some picks that I absolutely love for the rest of the college football weekend, so let's get into it.

Miami -20.5 (-112) at Wake Forest (2 Units)

This is my first multi-unit play of the season. I don’t think Miami has been getting enough credit for the way that they have started the season. They’ve been stomping on throats, and Darian Menseh and Malachai Toney have lived up to and even exceeded the pre-season hype. I don’t think Wake Forest is anything special, and I think Miami should control this game from start to finish and win by 30+.

Kamario Taylor OVER 249.5 Passing Yards (-101) (1 Unit)

All aboard the Kamario Taylor hype train! Get on before it's too late! Kamario Taylor made us some easy money last week against Minnesota, and we’re sticking with him this week. If Mississippi State is going to pull off an upset at South Carolina this week, Kamario Taylor is going to need to sling the rock all over the field. I think that whether MSU is winning or losing, we’ll be seeing a lot of deep shots, and Kamario will get to 250 passing yards.

USC Team Total OVER 41.5 (-120) at Rutgers (1 Unit)

Rutgers gave up 37 points to UMass in week one, and 28 points to Boston College in week two. Now they have to face a USC offense that is averaging 43 points per game, and a quarterback in Jayden Maiava who looks like he has taken a big step forward this season. The only thing that worries me about this pick is the cross-country travel, but even if the Trojans play the entire game jet-lagged, I think they could get to 42 points.

Summary

Miami -20.5 (-112) at Wake Forest (2 Units)

Kamario Taylor OVER 249.5 Passing Yards (-101) (1 Unit)

USC Team Total OVER 41.5 (-120) at Rutgers (1 Unit)
