NFL Week Three Picks
I was awful last week betting on the NFL. I think I went 0-4 (I’m not checking because I am trying my best to completely erase last week from my memory), and most of my picks were not even remotely close to hitting. Thankfully, I got some momentum back yesterday, going 4-0 on my college football picks, and I’m hoping to carry some of that momentum into today’s NFL slate.
Panthers at Browns OVER 42.5 (-108) (1 Unit)
The Panthers offense is looking high powered with Bryce Young at the helm. Not a sentence I expected to be typing. Based on the way that Trevor Lawrence picked apart the Browns secondary in week one, I think the Panthers are good for at least 28 points here. On the other hand, the Browns offense did not look anywhere near as bad as I expected last week against Tampa. As much as I hate to say it, Deshaun Watson was solid. If he can continue to play safe, smart football, then I think we can count on the Browns to score at least 17 points, which would get us past the point total.
Seahawks Team Total OVER 23.5 (-125) at Commanders (1 Unit)
I was able to get this line before Sam Darnold was officially listed as active for this week, so I’m feeling even better about it after that news. Seattle is going to dominate time of possession in this game. Marcus Mariota is not going to be able to move the ball against the Seattle defense, and if Seattle has the ball for most of the game, there is no way they stay under 24 points. I think you can still get this line at -135, but I’d feel comfortable buying all the way up to 26.5.
George Pickens OVER 69.5 Receiving Yards (+105) (1 Unit)
George Pickens hasn’t had a breakout game yet this season, but I think that changes today. The Cowboys have the best receiving core that the Ravens have had to face this season, and I think they’ll be doing all they can to contain Ceedee Lamb, which will leave George Pickens open for some big chunk plays. I could see him getting to 70 yards by halftime of this game.
6 Pick ATTD Parlay (+14345) (0.1 Units)
Khalil Shakir, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Kenneth Walker III, Christian McCaffery, Lamar Jackson, and Blake Corum. One of these is going to hit at some point and it is going to feel so good.
